Understanding the Interface
Interface Elements (In Order)
- Home Icon - By default, the creative.space logo, which will take you to you role’s home page when clicked on.
- Breadcrumbs - The page and the full path of links to your current selection. When you hover over the name of the current selection, a ‘Copy Link’ icon appears, which even works for sharing folders.
- Search - Opens a search bar for finding files by name.
- Navigation Menu - Only the pages accessible based on your user role will be displayed.
- Spaces - Interact with and browse the actual storage, plus additional interfaces for Ingest, Templates, Snapshots, and Libraries.
- Team - Manage users, groups, and roles for your team to control access to data and interfaces.
- System - Consolidated dashboard for easy management of the node and networking.
- Monitor - View over 2000 real-time metrics from your system that are captured every second.
- Pop-up Cards - Icons that open cards containing important information.
- Notifications - View recent activity, including breakdowns of completed transfer jobs.
- Copy and Sync Progress - View real-time progress of active copy, sync, move, and zip/unzip jobs, including those related to Ingest and Snapshots.
- Upload Progress - View real-time progress of active web app upload jobs and manage the current queue.
- Jobs - View and search logs of API calls including status, who triggered it, and even the actual JSON string used (with sensitive information redacted).
- Help Site - A link to this help site as a resource for learning about the system.
- User Account - The user’s avatar, name, and role, which reveals additional options when clicked on.
- View Profile - Opens a card with your user account info where you can change your password.
- Download Support Logs - Download a zip file containing all of the information that support needs to diagnose and address issues.
- Configure Network Sharing - Opens a card that allows you to enter custom domain names to use when “.creative” network configuration files are generated (Only relevant when using your own DNS server).
- Log Out - Return to the login screen of the web app for the node.
Available Actions
- Navigating Bread Crumbs - Navigate quickly to parent directories using breadcrumbs.
- Search - Find folders and files across spaces based on their name(s).
- View Notifications - When actions are completed, notifications display important information.
- View Copy and Sync Progress - Monitor progress of copy jobs triggered from Spaces, Ingest, and Snapshots.
- View and Manage Uploads - View real-time progress of active web app upload jobs and manage the current queue.
- View Jobs - View and search logs of API calls including status, who triggered it, and even the actual JSON string used (with sensitive information redacted).
- Change Your Own Password - All roles can change their own password, even if they can’t access anything else in the web app.
- Download Support Logs - To obtain detailed information about the status of your node, click on your avatar in the top menu of the web app, and then select 'Download Support Logs'.
