The new desktop app only connects to nodes running version 3.0 and later.
Introducing the Update Center!
Go to Settings and scroll down to the ‘Update Center’ to download and install the latest version of the desktop app.

Legacy App
To connect to nodes running version 2.0.8 or earlier, install the legacy desktop app. This version is more limited in functionality and is focused mainly on mounting spaces.
