Connect your server to other storage devices via USB, SMB, and FTP to browse and ingest via the web app.
The Ingest interface in the web app allows you to connect your server to various storage devices to easily browse and copy content directly. This eliminates the time-consuming process of moving and copying large amounts of data through your desktop, making your workflow more efficient.
There are different types of connections available:
- USB - Physical and direct. Once you plug a device into your server, it will automatically show up. No configuration necessary.
- SMB - On local networks, SMB can be a very efficient transfer method. However, FTP can be faster for remote connections. However, SMB gives you the ability to inspect and download media files without needing to transfer first.
- FTP - High-performance transfers from any FTP server, including other creative.space servers, RED cameras, and many ingest devices.
- HyperDeck - Special FTP support streamlines ingest from multiple Blackmagic Design HyperDecks and/or ATEM Mini series live switchers, which include the same FTP server.

Not all actions are universally supported. FTP has limited Inspector support since files are not directly mounted to the server.
